Meet a Client Need 

A study found that 73% of women chose to have an abortion due to financial challenges associated with the pregnancy. One of the ways Care Net of Puget Sound seeks to remove those financial barriers is by providing practical resources (such as car seats, diapers, formula, etc.) to moms, dads, and couples! 

When you purchase an item from one of our clients’ needs lists, you are helping parents receive the support they need to choose life, parent confidently, and thrive as moms and dads!

Giving a Non-Cash Asset 

Making a non-cash gift can be a cost-effective way for you to increase your potential impact and experience significant tax savings. 

Examples of non-cash assets are stocks, real estate, business interests, life insurance, and retirement benefits. To learn more about how donating a non-cash asset could be a beneficial option for you, please contact our Development Director Jennifer High at jhigh@carenetps.org or 253-235-4701.   

IRA Charitable Distribution 

Donating from your IRA or another type of retirement asset to a charity can be an extremely smart tax-saving plan. Funds in an IRA have never been taxed, and when you donate an asset to a qualified charity like Care Net of Puget Sound, no taxes are taken out on the back end either. This means more savings for you and allowing you to make a larger gift! Additionally, a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) can help you avoid an increase in taxation by removing income that would otherwise hit your annual gross income (AGI). If you are 70½ or older, an IRA charitable distribution is an excellent way to partner with us!

Your time is one of the most valuable gifts you can offer.  

Since our founding in 1982, Care Net of Puget Sound has been a volunteer-led ministry. While we only have about 50 staff members, we have over 500 volunteers who regularly serve in this ministry!  

Volunteering with Care Net of Puget Sound provides you with the opportunity to directly impact the lives of women and families in our community. Whether it’s offering administrative support, assisting with events, or providing direct client services, your involvement makes a tremendous difference.
