At Care Net of Puget Sound, we’re surrounded by stories—stories of women being cared for, supported, and bravely choosing life for themselves and their children.
Each one reminds us why this work matters so deeply and the difference your giving is making to transform lives across the Seattle/Tacoma region.
A Story of Hope in the Puget Sound
When Amara (not her real name) first came to one of our clinics, she felt heartbroken and alone.
“I had just found out I was pregnant and didn’t know what to do or which way to turn,” she shared. “My partner had left for Africa, and my family was pressuring me to have an abortion. I felt so stuck and ashamed.”
From the moment she arrived, our staff welcomed her with compassion and care.
“The nurse showed me my baby’s face and hands,” Amara said. “In that moment, I fell in love. All I could do was cry.”
Even as pressure from her family continued, Amara couldn’t forget the love she felt or the ultrasound image of her child.
In a story only God could make possible, Amara chose life. On July 9, Amara gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Reflecting back Amara shared:
“If I had gone through with the abortion, I would have missed out on so much joy,” she reflected. “God used Care Net to remind me that even when I make mistakes, He never leaves me.”

The Impact of Compassionate Care
Stories like Amara’s are unfolding across the Sound in Care Net of Puget Sound clinics. Whether it’s in Tacoma, Puyallup, Federal Way, or Bellevue, women and families are finding a place where they are seen, heard, and cared for and finding the no-cost, compassionate support they need to choose life.
How You Can Make a Difference
