The phone rang. When our receptionist picked it up, the woman on the other end of the phone (we’ll call her Nora) asked about the abortion pill. We explained to Nora that we don’t offer abortions but explained to her the services we do offer.
Nora thanked us but responded she’d be going to an abortion clinic.
And just like that the phone call ended.
Though Nora had declined an appointment, we knew we still had the chance to serve her. So we began praying and rallied our prayer team to pray alongside us.
We sent out a text that simply said, “Not This One.” The text contained no identifying information, but our prayer team knew what it meant: a woman considering abortion and her unborn baby needed our prayers.
A few weeks later, Nora reached out again asking if she could have an ultrasound. We scheduled her right away and when she came in for the appointment, Nora explained she’d decided to parent instead of having an abortion!
Nora chose life.
The Power of Prayer
Nora’s story is just one example that illustrates how God is still changing hearts and minds through the prayers of his people!
Did you know that you can commit to praying for women considering abortion IN their moment of need? When we serve women like Nora, we immediately send out a text to about 300 people who have committed to praying with us that simply reads “Not This One.”
But if you sign up to become a prayer partner, you’ll also have the chance to PRAISE with us.
When a woman who had her mind set on abortion chooses life, we’ll send a text that says, “This One Chose Life,” and when a client makes a decision for salvation, we’ll send a text that says, “This One Chose Eternal Life.”
You can sign up to receive these texts today by filling out this form here and simply selecting “As needed (Not This One)” when asked how you would like to receive prayer updates. While you’re filling out this form, you can also sign up to receive monthly or weekly email prayer requests.
The number of texts you receive is dependent on the women we are serving, but for reference, we typically average one text a day.
If you have any questions about becoming a prayer partner, please send us an email here.
Unable to commit to praying with us on a regular basis? We hope you’ll send this to a prayer warrior in your life!
And if you’re already a part of our prayer team, thank you for committing to pray with us for the women and families we serve!
